Cuisine of Malaga

As you can imagine, fish and shellfish are staple foods of the Malaga diet. Fresh fish such as Red Mullet and Swordfish are popular fried.

There are wide selections of barbequed fish dishes that are popular with tourists, including fired Sardines which are cooked on bamboo trays over a coal fire. The main ingredients to any fish dish in Malaga are fish, salt and garlic, the mixtures vary depending on the type of fish. As well as fish dishes, cold soups are very popular. The include Gazpacho soup, a popular chilled tomato soup and Vichyssoise, a chilled fish soup.
