Main Attractions and Sights in Limpio

It is well worth while spending a little time wandering around the local markets where fine examples of native craft can be seen and bought, such as basket work and hats made from Karanday.

Another place to visit is the splendid El Peñoñ located in the Paraguay River, and there is the old church of San José to be viewed and perhaps a few prayers offered in accordance with your dreams. The church is reputed to be about 400 years old, the altar exhibits a unique and colorful design uncommon to this kind of church, and the churchyard has an unusual proclivity of beautiful vegetation.

There are still a few remains of Spanish colonial style houses to be witnessed if you have the interest and a brief visit to the San Francisco Isle can be enjoyed, not forgetting a trip to see the activities which may (or may not!) be taking place at the Piquete Port.
