Getting around in Sepang

Sepang is home to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), Malaysia’s main point of entry for most visitors. The Sepang Circuit is a mere 10 minutes drive east of the airport. All major international and regional airlines fly into KLIA.

By Train
Malaysia’s national railway Keretapi Tanah Melayu (KTM) will get you to Sepang on the Rawang-Seremban line. The train journey takes one hour from KL Sentral. Get off at the stop called Nilai and from there, take the Sepang Omnibus to Sepang.

By Bus
During race season, there are official shuttles to take you to the Sepang Circuit. Various pick-up and drop-off points include KL Sentral, KLCC, KLIA airport, LCCT airport and Nilai KTM train station. During normal seasons, there are local buses from Kuala Lumpur’s Puduraya and the KLIA airport heading to Sepang several times a day.

By Car
Driving is one of the best ways of getting to Sepang, as it is convenient and pretty much hassle-free along the North-South Expressway. Take Exit 214 at Nilai Utara if you’re coming from the south. For those coming from the north, take Exit 606 at KLIA Interchange.

The best way of getting around Sepang is by car or taxi, as outside of race season, public transport is minimal. There are many taxis and car rental agencies at KLIA airport. With taxis, remember to negotiate the price before hopping in.
