Introduction to Brasilia

The capital of Brazil, host city of 2014 FIFA World Cup and a landmark in town planning, Brasilia has many official buildings and tourist attractions. Brasilia was formed in 1960, by planning and changing a desert into the capital. It was built keeping in mind that it would be the center for government authorities and the staff.

The climate in Brasilia is mild, all round the year. The climate is neither too hot nor does it rain very heavily. The rainy season lasts between November and February and it is mild and warm. Though it is a desert, even during its hottest month, the city has a mild climate. The average temperature in the city is 20.5 degrees. It sits on a plain of 1500 meters elevation.
